Age: 19 years going on 20 years
As his name suggests, Ace aspires to be number one at everything. Sports is his passion; the greater risk of bodily harm, the greater the thrill. Has a long-time girlfriend, Christina Carlos, to whom he is utterly devoted, but who has two over-protective older brothers who never quite warmed up to him. Studies Commerce at Elyston University and plays on the university rugby team.

Acorn Oakley
Age: 19 years
Acorn is Ace's cousin, who is a constant source of exasperation thanks largely to her volatile moods and penchant for mischief and mayhem. Persuaded Ace to move in with herself and Venus when they decided to rent a house while attending university. Studies Mass Communications at Elyston University and is also active in campus politics.

Venus Matheson
Age: 19 years
Venus is Acorn's best friend. An only child born into a very wealthy and prominent local family, she is used to having her way. Extremely shrewd and academically intelligent but often displays her inflated sense of self-worth and desire to make others submit to her will, which rankles Ace. Studying Law at EU, a career choice that Ace predicts will "end in tears -- for the rest of us!"

Christina Carlos
Age: 19 years
A naturally sweet-natured person raised in a devout family. When Christi was 12 her mother left this mortal plane; her father and twin older brothers, Eddie and Marco, are extremely protective of her. Began dating Ace when they were 17 after a chance meeting, as they attended different schools. Now a Psychology major at EU. Some may underestimate her, but Christi knows that choosing to be innocent does not mean one must be naive.

Simon Henry
Age: 20 years
"Extreme Simon" is one of the first friends Ace makes upon arrival at EU. He also plays on the university rugby team and shares Ace's passion for extreme sports, which ensured that they'd get on like a house on fire. However Simon has some other extreme habits -- his formula for fun is not for the faint-hearted. He loves being the life of the party and revels in the attention he gets when performing daredevil stunts.
